Anette Askvik
Anette Askvik is a Norwegian artist, composer and producer with a unique ability to grab people at their core. The music is powerful and hypnotic, in a fine balance between the acoustic and electronic.
Growing up in Stavanger, Anette early found inspiration in the ocean and nature surrounding her. "We are nature. There is a lot of energy running through us all the time. The breeze that builds up to a storm, the light and the eternal darkness. It is alluring, beautiful and frightening. Yet there is so much to learn about what we are, and how we are all connected."
Anette Askvik’s debut album, Liberty, has slowly become a global standard for demonstrating and testing audio equipment. After considerable demand, the album was pressed on double 180-gram vinyl at 45 rpm in 2020. Since its release over a decade ago, Liberty has continuously gained new listeners and fans, becoming a must-have for lovers of quality music and HiFi enthusiasts worldwide, due to its exceptional sound experience.
On her second album Multiverse, Anette found inspiration in sounds from stars, moons and planets. These are recordings done by NASA, and can be heard in her songs.
Last year, Anette released two new albums; "With Every Cell" and "Lyden av Snø".

LYDEN AV SNØ
Anette's 4th album is in Norwegian and showcases a harmonious landscape of music.
«Lyden av snø» which means «The sound of snow».
The songs are are accompanied by Ole-Bjørn Talstad's warm piano and Jørn Erik Ahlsen Alkanger's guitar-spheres. Mathias Eick on trumpet, FAME'S Studio Orchestra, and Stahlquartett, consisting of unique sound sculptures in steel, are also beautifully woven around some songs.
